Monday night we had some severe weather. A long squall line came through at 4am or so. I just love night time storms...NOT!! It brought 75mph winds (hurricane strength; CAT 1) and I just learned that there was an EF1 tornado in Irving and Wise. I woke up to find my outside sofa moved 15 feet across the patio, pillows tossed about 25 feet and a generally messy yard filled with debris. We have some fence damage. We're fine, but other people lost trees and some counties really got it bad. We still have to check our roof now.
On Tuesday, we had a massive dust storm with dust coming from West Texas. The sky turned yellow and the sun disappeared. I have to say, kind of wondering what kind of Spring to expect if it's already starting out this way?
I hope everyone else in Texas is fine and have your power back from the storm. I also hope everyone is staying warm and cozy for this early March too.

It's amazing how long it's been since I've updated this thread. I'll tell you, it's because Texas has had the mildest spring, mild summer, mild fall and so far, the mildest winter of 2025. We didn't have violent storms in the spring, no severe heat in the summer and no severe storms in the fall. We have had actually temperatures we can live with for Texas, if you can believe that. December of 2025 was colder than average. January of 2026 has also been mild and warm. The past nine months, we've had very little rain also. Until now. Coming to a Texas resident near you or a friend of yours is coming a to be wild, and hopefully not extreme winter storm this Friday and through the weekend.
Isemageddon and Snowmageddon is coming with very cold temperatures and appears to be more ice and snow that I've ever seen in a forecast.
If you lived in Texas in February of 2021, when we hit ZERO degrees (0F) and so many of us lost power for days, this storm is a storm coming to pay attention too and get ready for.
Praying for our Texas friends and other states that may have extreme weather too.
