Love all of the Hobbit movies.  The scenery (New Zealand), acting, war action, the complex story and characters make these movies exceptional and worth the commitment of time to watch.  Either spend a fun weekend with popcorn and snacks and watch them all, or watch one when you have the extra time.  The question is, in what order should you watch these amazing movies in?  Lots of debate on the order, lol.

Here's an interesting article on the Lord of the Rings fan collection.  Other article links follow from this article if you would like to take a look at more Hobbit trivia.

I like watching as they were released. I mean in the order they were released. And then, watching Aragorn and Legolas over and over, and over and over, and under and over, and sideways, upside down, on the moon, on Saturn, not on Uranus though. Never on Uranus.

Lol!!  Yeah, we know exactly what you mean about Aragorn and Legolas   Legolas was just that extra element in every scene, striking a pose. We laughed, cried and had so many emotions through watching all of them. We didn't watch them in the right order, but hey, there was a lot of elves, dwarfs, hobbits, flowing hair, horses, battlefields and drama in all of them that kept us transfixed.  Glad you didn't on Uranus.

Following in the Footsteps of J.R.R. Tolkien in Switzerland’s Mystical Lauterbrunnen Valley

From the Shire to Rivendell to the Misty Mountains, many locations in “The Lord of the Rings” were inspired by real landscapes.

If you are a Lord Of the Rings/Hobbit movie fan, most may know that New Zealand was one of the main countries used for their filming locations because of the beautiful landscapes and backgrounds.  I found this article interesting as the author Melanie Haiken takes you through J.J.R. Tolkien's traveling journeys suggesting that where he traveled must have been inspirational scenes for his novels.

It must be just a Lord of the Rings kind of honor J.J.R.Tolkien day.  GetPocket.com, just added a compilation of their Hobbit discussions in one link.  Enjoy binging on any of their selections of great writing all about Tolkien, his books, and the movies inspired by his series of books.
